These pistons are 0.020" Over Size. The majority of the time, when an engine is being rebuilt after a failure, the machine shop must bore the cylinder hole bigger to remove surface irregularities from the cylinder wall. This process requires the use an over sized piston afterwards to make up for the material removed from the cylinder wall.
